There are certain icons in our world who just get reactions from people. Superstars from back in time when the word superstar meant something and carried some weight. Marilyn Monroe is one perfect example of that, and it seems I cannot even go a day on social media without someone posting a pic or a (usually misquoted) quote from the blonde bombshell. So imagine the fervor when a pair of her earrings went up for auction? Pure pandemonium, some would say.

Julian’s auctions have since released that the pair of Marilyn Monroe earrings earned $185,000. I will be honest with you, I would have suspected them to go to some collector for well into the millions. They were the actual earrings worn during the premier for The Rose Tattoo with Marlon Brando, so you know these things have actually been seen being worn by the beloved starlet.

There were also a great deal of other items up for auction as well.    One example would be the actual shoes Bruce Lee wore in The Game of Death. Pretty sure you put those on and you are a martial arts master, right away. Next up, we had the double bit battle ax used by Gimli in Lord of the Rings.
