Nohema Graber’s life was unpredictable, from Mexican immigrant to Iowa high school teacher, and her tragic death was stunning.

According to court records filed Thursday in a Lowa district court, a 16-year-old high school student charged in the murder of a Spanish teacher at his school testified to investigators that he was present at the park where she was slain at the time of her death and helped cover up the crime. Nohema Graber was reported missing many hours before her body was recovered in an Iowa park, and William Noble Chaiden Miller is one of two students charged in her killing.

According to the reports, Miller and Jeremy Everett Goodale have both been charged with first-degree murder. The Jefferson County Attorney’s Office announced in a statement on Thursday that they will be prosecuted as adults.

By the reference of court filings, Graber’s body was discovered under a tarp, wheelbarrow, and railroad ties in Chautauqua Park in Fairfield, Iowa, on Tuesday. She appears to have been the victim of self-inflicted head damage.

Graber, a mother of three and a Spanish teacher at the local high school, was described by her daughter on Facebook as an absolute angel in her family.
